Training programmes

Practitioner training for the people who run fleets — and the people who answer for them.

Two open-enrolment cohorts and one in-house option. Built directly on the 27 chapters of the book and the six-month practice plan in the appendix.

Why a programme rather than a book

The book describes the discipline. The programmes install it.

A ~270-page playbook is the right format for laying out an operating system in full. It is not the right format for making sure twenty people on a team learn to run it together, in the same way, against the same KPIs. The programmes exist to close that gap — and to give the operating teams the structured practice that turns a book on the shelf into the way a fleet actually runs.

Programme 1

The Cargo-Owner Programme

For the cargo-owner organisation managing third-party transporters. Built for supply-chain leadership, transport managers, control-tower controllers, and operations teams.

  • The seven-layer Fleet Operating System, applied to the cargo-owner seat.
  • Independent visibility — what to measure, who measures it, who acts on it.
  • Transporter governance — scorecards, performance rhythm, fair conversations.
  • Cost-per-km, freight-rate economics, and the variable-cost model.
  • The 90-day operating-improvement plan, built in the room with your data.
Format: 6-week cohort · 90-minute sessions · live + recorded · workbook + templates included.

Programme 2

The Transporter Programme

For the transporter — the principal, the fleet manager, the operations team running vehicles for cargo-owner clients and for the firm's own private fleet.

  • The seven-layer Fleet Operating System, applied to the transporter seat.
  • Building the operating discipline that wins the next contract.
  • Driver behaviour, maintenance, and the daily compliance rhythm.
  • The dual-client reality — running well for cargo-owners and for your own fleet.
  • Reading scorecards, negotiating from evidence, protecting margin.
Format: 6-week cohort · 90-minute sessions · live + recorded · workbook + templates included.

In-house cohorts

Training eight or more from one team? Run the programme in-house.

When eight or more participants come from a single client organisation, the open-enrolment cohort is not the right setting. The programme is rebuilt around your operation — your KPIs, your transporter mix, your real reports — and delivered to your team as a closed cohort, either virtually or in-person at your premises.

The curriculum stays the same. The case studies, the worked exercises, and the 90-day practice plan are calibrated to your data so people leave the programme with work product, not generic notes.

How the programmes work

The same four-part method, calibrated to your seat.

Both open-enrolment programmes (and the in-house option) follow the same structure. The difference between them is the lens — cargo-owner or transporter — applied to a common operating framework.

1

Diagnose

Each participant runs the FOS maturity assessment against their own operation in week one. The cohort starts knowing where each operation honestly sits.

2

Learn

Six 90-minute live sessions across the seven layers. Each session pairs the framework chapter with a worked walkthrough from a real engagement.

3

Practise

Workbook exercises between sessions, applied directly to the participant's own operation. A scorecard, a KPI dictionary, a transporter ranking — built in the room with real numbers.

4

Commit

Each participant leaves with a 90-day operating-improvement plan signed off in the final session. A check-in call follows at 30 and 90 days.
